Maria Sakr is our Founder and a Registered Tax Agent. She is an experienced accounting professional and trusted advisor to individuals, families and small-to-medium businesses across Australia.
Maria brings over 15 years of experience in accounting and financial services. She is known for her practical, detail-driven approach, providing clear and compliant financial guidance that supports confident decision-making.
She works closely with her clients to simplify complexi tax and financial matters, identify ares of opporty and growth and build structures that support long-term financial outcomes and objectives.
Maria is certified in Xero and MYOB, is a member of the Institure of Public Accounting and is registered with ASIC and the Tax Practitioners Board (TPB).
About Maria
As Founder of Financial Accounting & Taxation Services, Maria brings over 15 years of experience in accounting and financial services. Prior to founding the business, Maria had a background in corporate accounting and insurance roles, working with award-winning firms as well as leading in-house accounting departments within well recognised Australian companies.
She holds a Bachelor of Business and Commerce (Accounting & Commercial Law) from the University of Western Sydney and a Diploma of Financial Planning from TAFE NSW. Maria is a Registered Tax Agent (TPB), a member of the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA), and certified in Xero and MYOB. As a side hustle, Maria also runs an Insurance Brokerage firm for ride share businesses.
